Can an inmate call a cell phone?

During a lock-down inmates are not allowed to use telephones. Inmates are allowed to make outgoing calls only, and under no circumstances are incoming calls allowed. The normal method of calling is by collect call (cell phones cannot receive collect calls).

How can inmates receive phone calls?

There are several ways to receive calls from inmates, including collect, prepaid collect, and inmate debit calls. Inmates have the option of placing collect calls to telephone numbers approved by the correctional facility. Collect calls are billed to the called party every month through their phone carrier company.

How do you deposit money to an inmate?

To give an inmate money, you may use either a credit card or cash. Online and phone deposits are made using either a Visa or Mastercard. Cash deposits may be made at the kiosks. The Sheriff’s office itself does not accept any currency or checks.
